Terms of Service

Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to agree to these terms. Children under 13 may not create an account. If you use Cartoonio for an organization or supervise a minor, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms. Keep your account and sign-in methods secure and provide accurate information.

The service

Cartoonio helps users plan, generate, edit, render, translate, publish, and upload cartoons using local tools and third-party services. Features, providers, limits, and availability may change. We may suspend the service for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons.

Your content

“User Content” includes prompts, instructions, source materials, names, voices, images, scripts, edits, metadata, and any output generated, modified, saved, or published at your request. Cartoonio does not endorse User Content. You retain any rights you have in content you submit. You grant Cartoonio a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, modify, transmit, and display User Content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve requested service features. When you deliberately publish User Content to the community, you also allow Cartoonio to display and distribute it until you remove it, subject to reasonable cached or backup copies.

Your responsibilities

You must review User Content before using, saving, publishing, or distributing it. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for your User Content, generation requests, publication choices, required permissions and consents, and compliance with law and third-party rights. That responsibility does not shift to Cartoonio merely because an output was generated or modified by artificial intelligence. Do not submit content you lack the right to use, misrepresent your rights or consent, help another person violate these terms, or attempt to evade safety measures.

Prohibited content and conduct

You may not use Cartoonio to request, create, upload, edit, save, publish, share, or distribute: nudity, pornography, sexual acts, sexualized or fetish content, or other obscene material; any sexualized depiction or exploitation of a minor, including real, fictional, or AI-generated material; grooming, sexual violence, trafficking, or non-consensual intimate imagery, including sexual deepfakes; graphic gore, gratuitous extreme violence, or content that encourages suicide or self-harm; hateful or discriminatory content, targeted harassment, bullying, threats, or promotion or recruitment for terrorism or violent extremism; content that meaningfully facilitates serious wrongdoing, fraud, illegal access, malware, or the unlawful acquisition or use of weapons, drugs, or other regulated goods; deceptive impersonation, privacy invasion, stalking, doxxing, or use of a person’s likeness or voice without the rights or consent required by law; content that infringes intellectual-property or other rights; or spam, malicious activity, disruption of the service, or attempts to bypass safeguards. Content is prohibited whether it depicts real people or events or is fictional, altered, or AI-generated.

Content enforcement

When we reasonably believe content or conduct violates these terms, applicable law, third-party provider rules, or creates a risk of serious harm, we may refuse or stop a generation, restrict access or visibility, unpublish or remove content, preserve information when legally required, warn or restrict an account, or suspend or terminate access. We may report content or conduct to competent authorities when required by law or reasonably necessary to address an imminent risk of serious harm. You may contact us to report content or ask us to review an enforcement decision.

AI-generated results

Generative systems can produce inaccurate, unexpected, offensive, or similar results for different users. Review every result before using or publishing it. Cartoonio does not guarantee uniqueness, accuracy, suitability, copyright protection, or freedom from third-party rights.

Costs and third-party services

Some actions use paid third-party generation services. Cartoonio displays estimates and asks for confirmation where configured, but final provider usage and charges can differ. Your use of connected providers, including Google and YouTube, is also governed by their terms. You are responsible for charges you authorize.

Credits and payment

Credit packs are one-time purchases delivered to your Cartoonio account after Stripe confirms payment. Credits are a limited license to pay for eligible generation features within Cartoonio; they are not money, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be redeemed for cash. The price, currency, and any tax calculated for a purchase are shown in Stripe Checkout before you pay. Generation charges consume credits when the applicable provider work is performed.

Refund and cancellation policy

Credit-pack purchases cannot be cancelled after payment and delivery of the credits, and purchases and used credits are non-refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise. We may correct duplicate charges or verified technical billing errors at our discretion. If you believe you were charged more than once or credits were not delivered, contact support@cartoonio.net promptly with the account email and payment date. Nothing in this policy limits consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

YouTube uploads

You may connect a YouTube channel and upload a reviewed final video and metadata. You are responsible for the selected channel, audience designation, privacy setting, content, and compliance with YouTube policies. You can disconnect the channel or revoke Cartoonio through your Google Account permissions.

Cartoonio property

The Cartoonio service, interface, software, branding, and documentation are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms permit you to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of Cartoonio technology or branding.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Cartoonio at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary for violations, security, harm, nonpayment, legal compliance, or service discontinuation. Provisions that by their nature should continue will survive termination.

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Cartoonio is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Cartoonio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or loss arising from third-party services or generated content. Mandatory consumer protections and liabilities that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service or law changes. The effective date identifies the current version. If a material change requires notice or consent, we will provide it as reasonably required. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.

Questions and disputes

Contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. Applicable mandatory law and consumer jurisdiction rules are not displaced by these terms.
